Your plan was to have a one child or a few children by a certain age. You couldn’t wait to go to “Mommy and Me” classes, go trick or treating, celebrate the holidays with kids, and give your parents grandchildren. But as the months go by, you realize that it’s not happening. Or perhaps you have become pregnant but have suffered from miscarriages. You feel that your body has failed you. Despite all the things you have tried, you are not pregnant. Infertility takes away the control away from you which is one of the most difficult aspects of this very common life crisis.
If you hear the words, “just relax and you’ll get pregnant”, one more time are you are going to scream?
Are you dreading the next baby shower you are invited to?
Do you feel isolated and alone in your struggle to have a child?
The infertility counseling I provide to individuals and couples will give you a safe, supportive place to share your frustrations, grief, loss, relationship challenges that go hand-in-hand with infertility. Every person or couple is different, so the sessions will be tailored to your needs. Counseling will provide you with an opportunity to take back some of the control. Our work together will help to enable you identify and cope with the emotional aspects of this overwhelming problem. By identifying your personal goals, strengths and implementing coping strategies, I can help give you the control back. As you become empowered to make decisions you can move forward through this difficult journey. You don’t have to go through infertility alone anymore. I am experienced working with those undergoing or considering IVF, Donor Egg/Sperm and surrogacy. I am professional member of Resolve.
